This book takes the reader behind-the-scenes of the Iraq war and offers a perspective not often seen on television news or in the newspapers. It is interesting to hear about day-to-day life in a war zone. It is also interesting to learn about the little details of the everyday life of a soldier such as how the bathroom situation works, etc. The idea of telling the narrative through a daily journal is great and offers a good variety of ups and downs since the reader lives each day with the author. This book took a lot of courage and fortitude to write.
